David is president and regional director for Laerdal Medical, Americas, a pioneer and world leader in the field of resuscitation and simulation education. Laerdal is most widely known for introducing Resusci Anne in 1960, marking the beginning of modern-day resuscitation training.
David started his career with Laerdal in 1987 and has been instrumental in many of the company’s product development and marketing activities. Before assuming the role of president in 2009, he was vice president for the US sales organization. Before joining Laerdal, David held sales positions at Extracorporeal, Inc., a division of Johnson and Johnson, and IVAC Corporation.
He is a member of the Board of Governors for the National League for Nursing, the Board of Directors for the Citizen CPR Foundation, and a Corporate Council Member for both the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and the National Patient Safety Foundation. David holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis on finance and marketing from Susquehanna University.
